A "Government" This Dumb
(after the style of Lewis Carroll's "The Walrus and the Carpenter")

This President, his toadies say,
has not been seen before
from Big Bang to the present day
and all the Time in store.
Pete Hegseth and Scott Bessent, they
agree. And what is more . . .

Departments of the Government
they “run” if you believe
that those can pay the monthly rent
from wages they receive
for jobs that do not pay a cent
or poverty relieve.

But “War” and “Treasury” conspire
to bleed the Budget dry
for Israel whose need is "dire"
if you believe the lie
that genocidal thugs for hire
deserve most of the pie.

And Fox News calls it “fake news” if
one publishes a fact
that gives the public just a whiff
of those caught in the act
of making corpses cold and stiff --
then autopsies redact.

And so the time has come to talk
of things a Walrus would
on blackboards scribble down in chalk
for Carpenters who should
read first those plans and not just gawk
at things misunderstood.

The reason, then, why none have seen
a President like this
is simple. Others haven’t been
prepared to take a piss
like Trump has on the country’s sheen;
expecting, then, a kiss.
